Super Grandpa

I LOVE Laura Wilson's Flip Dolls & Other Toys That Zip, Stack, Hide, Grab & Go book; in particular the Super Hero Flip Doll pattern.

I was inspired to make something for my Dad for his birthday. So I present to you: 
Super Grandpa

My Dad is winning the battle against prostate cancer, and I wanted to give him something to remind him of the super hero strength he has inside, so he flips to:
(his alter ego name is Thor)

Here you can see his cape:

...which is a necessity for flying:

Sally's Birthday Skirt

I was recently inspired by the beautiful pieces created by Alabama Chanin, prompted by the excellent (and thorough) how-to information in their 3 books.

Here's what I created; a skirt for my sister:
